We understand how important your oral health is for you. However, we also understand that your time is equally important. Traditionally, crowning a tooth could take two to three visits. This means that on the first visit, you get an injection of anesthesia, your tooth prepared, an impression taken, and a temporary restoration placed on your tooth. You make a second appointment for a couple weeks later, and get an injection, have the temporary removed (if it hasn’t fallen off already) and have the final restoration put on. Why go to the dentist a second time when you don’t have to? With CEREC, the procedure is done in a single appointment from start to finish without the need for a goopy impression, a temporary restoration or a second visit.

A CEREC restoration is not just convenient, it is also healthy. Many years ago, dentists had few options to repair decayed and damaged teeth other than amalgam, gold, and other metals. CEREC uses strong, tooth colored ceramic materials to restore teeth to their natural strength, beauty, and function.

Isn’t time you experienced single visit dentistry? Let us take care of you, so you can get back to your life!

Composite Bonding

Composite tooth bonding is a cosmetic dentistry procedure that can enhance your smile. Dental composite is made of a synthetic resin and comes in different shades and translucencies. With the proper skill, it can achieve beautiful, natural results for your teeth. Composite can be used to fill cavities, replace old silver amalgam fillings, or fix minor chips, spaces, and stains in one appointment.

Cosmetic Dentistry

There is a common misconception that the sole purpose of cosmetic dentistry is to improve your smile by fixing the appearance of your teeth. However, cosmetic dentistry is a vast field that restores natural function and the correction of various dental problems such as: overbites, overjets, discolorations, gaps/spaces, crowding, tooth wear, chips, cracks and missing teeth.

We all realize that having bright and healthy teeth enhances our appearance and allows us to smile with confidence. Thanks to the advances in modern cosmetic dentistry, we are able to improve your smile with quick, painless and affordable treatments.

As SmileMore Dental, we believe that there is no reason to live the rest of your life with a smile that you’re not happy with. Regardless of how problematic you feel your current smile may be, we can help you achieve the smile that you have always dreamed of.

Dental Implants

Dental implants offer a great solution to replacing a single tooth, several teeth, or an entire mouthful of teeth. There are several causes of missing teeth: aging, weakened jaw muscles, broken teeth, decayed teeth, gum (periodontal) disease, and poor nutrition. Thankfully, missing teeth can be replaced using dental implants, which can restore function and speech, preserve bone health, and provide a naturally beautiful smile.

There are many consequences to losing a tooth. Aside from an awkward smile, teeth adjacent to the area start moving and invading that space. Over time, the tooth from the opposing arch can also migrate into that space. Tooth loss can also affect speech and can compromise chewing of food.

While alternative options to dental implants may be a perfect solution for some, others can experience problems with chewing and discomfort. Dr. Yu and his team utilize the latest and most advanced digital technology, ensuring precision placement of dental implants through the use of 3D imaging and computer-guided surgery. The resulting tooth restoration is more accurate, stable and takes less time to complete and heal.

With dental implants, your missing tooth and tooth root can be directly replaced. Dental implants are surgically placed into the jawbone and they become the new root. Over time, the implants and jawbone will fuse, creating a solid foundation for your new tooth. Once the fusion is complete, an abutment will be placed on the implant, where a beautiful porcelain crown will be attached. The end result is a stable tooth or set of teeth that will look and feel natural and last a lifetime.

There are many factors that go into choosing dental implants. We are committed to guiding you through all of the options available to ensure that you have all of the information that you need to make the best decision for your long-term dental health.

Does the idea of having wires and brackets make you cringe? Did you wear braces as a teenager and now your teeth are crooked again? Your solution may be ClearCorrect. ClearCorrect invisibly straightens your teeth with a series of custom-molded aligners. Forget everything you’ve heard about teeth straightening. Because now there’s breakthrough technology that lets you achieve the smile you always wanted without bands, brackets or wires!

By using a series of removable aligners, ClearCorrect straightens your teeth right before your eyes. Unlike wire braces, ClearCorrect is easily removable so you can eat, brush your teeth and floss with minimal hassle. A typical case takes about a year from start to finish, but the exact treatment time and number of aligners will vary from case to case.

The treatment uses top-of-the-line technology to custom-design aligner trays for each patient. You are given a new set every two weeks to facilitate your progress. Computer-aided manufacturing techniques and laser technology create the aligners that are specifically designed only for you.

ClearCorrect can be used to treat the vast majority of common problems for adults and teens. Whether your smile needs minor improvements or more extensive adjustments, ClearCorrect can certainly help. It’s successful in treating overly crowded or widely spaced teeth. It can also relieve more complex issues such as overbites, underbites, and even crossbites.

ClearCorrect is clear and virtually undetectable, and has none of the discomfort associated with getting used to fixed metal braces. ClearCorrect offers the same level of results but with a new kind of flexibility and convenience, perfect for today’s active and busy individuals.

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers are thin ceramic shells that are bonded to your teeth for many different reasons. Veneers are routinely used to enhance your smile, but many times are also used to protect the teeth from wear (grinding) and to re-establish a proper bite. Teeth that are prepared for veneers have very little healthy tooth structure removed and sometimes require no preparation at all. Veneers can improve teeth that are stained from external sources such as food, drinks, and tobacco-use, as well as teeth that are stained from certain medications. Veneers can sometimes be used in place of orthodontics to improve the appearance of malformed or misaligned teeth. Imperfections such as chips, gaps, and old fillings can all be hidden with porcelain veneers.

Smile Design

When creating a smile, it is important to take many factors into consideration to accomplish all the esthetic, functional, structural, and biological goals of the treatment. The patient’s face must be carefully evaluated and the treatment plan chosen must accomplish all the desired results while being as conservative as possible. Sometimes when minor changes are required, very little tooth structure is removed and veneers can be done. Other times, bite problems must be taken into account and the patient’s height of the lower part of the face needs to be increased or decreased and an entire arch of crowns may need to be done. In cases where the patient’s mandible (lower jaw) needs to be repositioned, both the upper and lower teeth sometimes need to be treated with a combination of crowns and veneers to properly address the muscle issues causing pain.  Having a beautiful smile created for you is going to be as unique as the situations that present.  We will have many conversations so you understand all the issues and can make choices regarding which issues you would like to treat.

Tooth whitening (or bleaching) is one of the most popular and simplest forms of cosmetic dentistry and is an ideal way to enhance the beauty of your smile. If you are happy with the position and shape of your teeth, but would like to enhance the color, then whitening may be right for you. We offer both in-office and take-home whitening systems. The darkening and discoloration of teeth can be caused by aging, smoking, certain beverages, and medications. In most cases, it is a combination of these factors and whitening your teeth can take years off your appearance.

Take-Home Whitening
The most popular method is using a take-home whitening system. The process consists of taking dental impressions and fabricating custom trays. The whitening solution is then placed in the trays and worn for about 30 minutes a day for 1-2 weeks until you reach your desired result.

In-office Whitening
For patients who want immediate results, we recommend our in-office treatment. It is a 1-hour procedure, and the process consists of precisely applying a powerful whitening gel to your teeth in 15-20 minute sessions. Depending on the severity of stain, this process is repeated. When you are finished, you will receive custom whitening trays to “touch-up” and keep your smile looking radiant.
